but, it only rattles behind the license plate...if I press down on the trunk it will stop, if I push on the license plate it will stop a little bit but it sounds like rattling is between the fabric and the metal(inside the trunk lid), so if I put dyna mat on that section it will weigh it down a bit and keep the sound towards the front of the car right?

i've got an 05 accord and i had the same problem. you need to take out the WHOLE licence plate assembly and put dynamat in between the assembly and the trunk.... and some behind the license plate

how is that possible...I know you take out those plastic screws in the fabric on the trunk lid...then what?

there are two bolts... loosen and remove the nuts to them in your trunk lid...... it's a biatch to get this off, so be carefull

Dynamat is good. You can also look for a little less thick generic stuff at your local hardware store.

There are cheap kits on ebay for license plate. and foam would be ok to use but not as great. if you have money to spare, and alot of time on your hands you should dynamat EX your whole trunk.. then no one would even hear your subs.. only you would enjoy it.. thats a real highend stuff but its a heck of alot of money and time.
