Why not just use paypal? the account is free and all you need is a bank account somewhere to use it... Not to mention you get some buyer protection....
longears 06-26-2007, 03:30 PM yup i been selling car parts for 4 years now paypal all the way
richomundo 06-26-2007, 05:01 PM I'm always weary for paypal purchases because they don't cover anything outside of ebay or other approved sites. Are you paypal verified?
edit: lets finsih this conversation via email
richmondknight AT gmail.com
longears 06-26-2007, 05:15 PM yes im paypal verified
longears 07-03-2007, 10:07 AM still got them
19Accord97 07-16-2007, 11:00 PM Hey longears, I am looking at projectors seriosuly now, and am somewhat considering yours if you still have them but I have a few questions.
Honestly, what shape are they in?
How was the light output? Did it light up the road well or was it worse than stock headlights?
I see that the lens is sometimes purple or what, what color of light do they put out?
How was the fit/seal?
And how hard is the install?
smaglik 07-17-2007, 12:03 PM if you're using paypal and want additional protection, pay with a cc. it will incur additional fees for the seller, but if its ahigh value item, in my expereince we had split the cost of the fees....it gives you an out if you get .....hosed.
richomundo 07-18-2007, 10:59 PM I bought these about a week 1/2 ago.
Headlights arrived in poor condition.
One side had been in a collision and cracked the outer casing, as well as a considerable scratch on the front of the headlight.
Seller did not accurately describe condition nor did he package them well. Box was beat to hell and back by the time I got it, and one of the headlights had disconnected from the assembly, requiring me about an hour of work to fix. Screw holes were torn and brackets broken.
Disappointing, to say the least. Waste of 100$

WheelBrokerAng 07-19-2007, 12:20 AM Was this one of the famouse E-bay sales buys for you?
I don't like e-bay very much even tho I sell in there and buy also. But then again Im a honest seller and a cautious buyer ;)
WheelBrokerAng :)
19Accord97 07-19-2007, 12:24 AM I think he meant he bought them from longgears
smaglik 07-19-2007, 08:55 AM was that purchase from someone on the forum?
richomundo 07-19-2007, 01:18 PM yes i bought them from longears.
00AccordLX5spd 07-20-2007, 11:44 AM I guess we have all learned something about longears then[sm=boosign.gif]
I was wondering why he didn't have pictures of BOTH lights. Looks like the damage is to the unpictured light isn't it?
WheelBrokerAng 07-21-2007, 07:15 PM ORIGINAL: richomundo
yes i bought them from longears.
Now that is a darn shame from a member, longears should buy them back plus pay for the shipping if this is a fact:

smaglik 07-23-2007, 03:15 PM i would agree.
richomundo 07-23-2007, 06:04 PM well I suppose there's not much more I can do other than send an email and complain.
smaglik 07-23-2007, 10:22 PM hopefully this thread might save someone else from the same fate...has the guy been given ample time to respond before the forum passes judgment?

Have you in fact done this...?;)
rydnlow1120 07-24-2007, 09:54 AM I traded him a nitrous kit minus the bottle and one braided line, and a racing steering wheel for some 17"s with tires...we shipped on the same day. Mine arrived to him about a week (8 days i believe) ago, and that is backed by a trackin number...i havent seen my rims yet. i plan on contacting him about it if i dont see them in the mail today. just a warning.
WheelBrokerAng 07-24-2007, 12:40 PM I just PM'd him about the issues here in the forum, maybe he will come back in here from up there in Ontario, Canada...
WheelBrokerAng
rydnlow1120 07-24-2007, 01:10 PM I hope so...because he contacted me about the trade and i have all the emails and messages to show all the details of the transaction. He shipped the wheels/tires with NO tracking number and i havent heard anything from him, even when he got my package. And being out of country, im not sure what i can do if anything to get my stuff back if i dont get the wheels.
smaglik 07-24-2007, 01:12 PM anyone live near ontario? i assume you still have the shipping address....if it had been in indianapolis, i'd drive to his door and pound on it for you.
00AccordLX5spd 07-24-2007, 02:10 PM Sounds like somebody needs to teabag him. I nominate Smaglik.
smaglik 07-24-2007, 02:20 PM like i said...if it was driving distance...

And I 2nd and 3rd the motion:
richomundo 07-24-2007, 06:15 PM So I guess I'm lucky that I actually got something in the mail?
It's a shame that people don't observe the golden rule.
I'm going to swear by CODs from now on.
smaglik 07-24-2007, 07:02 PM fair enough...i shall sack up to the challenge...
dirty or clean?
AyashiFX55 07-25-2007, 12:12 AM dude say that i almost bought these headlights !!! I felt that something was wrong. I feel sorry for the one who bought them.

Super dirty
longears 08-03-2007, 03:18 PM Have a Read at his Username Now!
richomundo 08-03-2007, 06:25 PM Update: 3 emails later I still have not received any reply from this guy.
I do have his address as a return shipping label on the box, and I've filed a paypal dispute to see if I can get my money back. Awaiting what he's going to do.
Next step is filing with the ic3.
Wondering what to do with a pair of broken halo lights.
Can the mods lock this thread and his item description as evidence?
thanks!
