Have a look at these perty things... you WILL NOT be dissapointed, by far the best Ive had.

You might want to get some plastic sheets and cut them and mount the drivers on them then you can pop them in the back deck of your car.

are they really that superior to say a 50 dollar speaker.

maybe ;). But if you really ever heard a speaker home or car that cost over $5000 a pair, you would know a big difference. Take IMAX for example, they have one of the most advanced sound systems in the world. If you ever go to one, look at the speakers in the ceiling, they are huge.

Ya, the more expensive speakers are much better than the $50 ones fer sure...you can easily tell if you know how to listen to the different parts of the music to hear each's change :)

Throw in 6 inch Mb Quarts or something along those lines u wont be disappointed..... Does anyone actually sit in ur back seat? cause i believ rear speakers are useless its like going to a concert u dont turn with ur back towards the band???[&:]

rear speakers are normally used to "fill" in the space. Cant go wrong with MB Quarts but I dont reccommend the bottom of the line Discus series.

but there is to much of a difference with out rear's. with out them the sound stage is all f**** up. cause you just have bass behind you nothing else. i fade like 6-7 to the front and it makes the sound just right. you dont hear it from behinde you but its not missing

Easy on the cussing dude. Anyway I agree, rear speakers do play an important role in a car. Now, rear speakers arent always crap. If done right, they can sound great!

I'm an installer, and in my opinion, Alpine makes a great speaker for the money. There Type R's sound great

so remi, u think alpine is no good? why? u have a bad experience? i think thier head units suck, but the speakers sound just peachy to me. Besides, not everyone can spend $500(i hope thats what you meant to write earlier, not 5000) on a set of rear speakers... Alpine 6x9"s only cost from $150 to $250 or so, and that sounds dam good to me

Well... I dont like their subs for the money. Mind you I havent fooled with the garage in 3 years, alot could have been done with alpines since then. I just lost my trust with them. But I agree with you, their decks arent that super, nor thier amps... not even to shake a stick at. Lol... and yes, I meant $5,000.00!:D

Hey there "Rick James"
i infact do think alpine are $hit...... i mean there good for an entry level but as far as competition wise there not to great

u know i take that back. at work i noticed that the alpines we carry(an entry level speaker, i admit at best) are only 100 to 150 bucks. Not even 200 or 300 at all..... now i know they don't even compare to any competion series speaker, SHOCKER, but not everyone competes in comp and they don't want to spend 5 large on a set of speakers (well good lord remi, down here in arkansas that just ain't heard of!) 150 sounds real darn good to me, but i'm just a southern boy..... i don't get to experience the finer things in life like that.....

Check out the Fusion Powerplants. I've had them in a few vehicles for years - they are AWESOME. I love them.

If you want an entry-level cheap-o, I find JVCs sound decent.
