1/8 or 1/4 mile usually? I saw some racing show on tv where they were racing 1/8.

It depends upon the track.
Most tracks are 1/4 mile long.
But there are some that only run 1/8 mile.
The track I ran on was a 1320

Did that guy miss a shift or something off the take-off? His reaction time was crap....
