anyone with experience on aftermarket ignition systems. There seems to be a lot out there, lots of well known names-msd, accel, nology, but what works the best. So far my motor is stock, with external mods-cai, headers cat back. It seems that there is lots of bogging at take off, and resistance to starting(of course below zero temps don't help, but this seems excessive). Hoping that a kick in the spark will help. I have a 2.3 ex 00

need to diagnose if you are getting proper boost; getting enough fuel pressure; and enough spark and proper timing.

Aftermarket ignition won't do much for you. Have the OEM stuff tested as suggested. You can do aftermarket, but you will have to scrap the entire system and build the new one from scratch. MSD multi-strike capacitive discharge systems are nice, Accel is a little safer from overheating.

MSD is notorious for screwing up Accords though. There are several guys over on 6thgenaccord.com that had to scrap the MSD since they could never get the car to run correctly with it in. I wouldn't waste my money on that. Stick with stock oem wires (sumomito) and NGK double platinum plugs

^^^ I'm talking about a full system, not a retrofit to the stock one. MSD Stackers don't work with Honda coil-on-plug systems.

No? The 6 did. I figured they changed them both at the same time. Did the '01 4 cylinder?
