It's time for me to get a new timing belt put in. I've got a '98 EX. Any ideas on what to expect price wise?

WheelBrokerAng 02-13-2005, 08:47 PM Hi,,Welcome to the forums.. If you have a mechanic friend he will more than likely charge you about $ 50.00 plus the timeing belt , another $18.00 to $25.00. If the dealer gets to you, you can expect about $200. or more for the same thing.. WheelBrokerAng  GolfingTiger 03-05-2005, 09:58 AM Got it done for $125 by a local, independent ASE certified mechanic. Not bad. xtremeskier97 03-16-2005, 05:41 PM How do you know when you need a new timing belt? And I thought they were chains nowadays? Sorry for the n00bness...but Im a Rotory guy who now has to learn about the pistons. :( |
