Anybody know the top speed for various accords.

For my stock 99 v6, it might be around 120+.

I know this because I got clocked by a VA state trooper at 123mph.

I had a 626 V-6 that would run 130+ but the most I've stroked the 04 Accord 2.4L was 95 in 3rd........run out of guts. 100MPH in TX is an automatic stay at the Crossbar Motel!!

hows it going, i got my old 91 accord lx up to 110 going to school one time, i was racing some girls in a maxima.

my v6 ex has touched over 120. I still had all of fourth to go too. I dunno guess vtec power can do anything.

Some v6's in stock form have touched 130, I have a 4cyl. and have touched 123+ or -

ive gotten my I-4 to around 123 i was scared and shut her down

i had mine at 125 but shut it done, i felt the car had smoe more in itm i did not,, thinking about it makes me want to go for a ride

ive had mine between 110-113.... Im not sure if it can go faster but I dont want to take my civic that fast without some wider tires.

are bmw drivers generally aggressive in th US. over here most beemer drivers think they are 'great' and really dont like being overtaken

well i havent gone past 120 in my 01lx 3.0vtec, but i know a couple of guys with 96,97, 2.7 v6's that went 135 when their right from wheel inside fender came flying out and their wires rubbed bare and they had to go back to honda to get new wire harnesses. they said their horns honkes, windows went up and down, radio cutt off and on. they though it was possed. so i havent tried to go past 120, cuz idont want to have to pay out moer for factory stuff when i can make it quicker off the line, know what i mean?

not sure what you mean?. the accord is shockingly slow off the line. once its rolling its ok, but from a standing start its pants. well, thats what i find anyway.




its much more fun to corner quickly tho, and the accord likes corners;)

I went 130 in a 2.3L 4 cylinder.. well at least thats what the speedomenter said

heh.. that ate up 1/4 of my gas. but it was damn worth it

Never tryed to max out my Accord but have taken her up to 105 a few times going thru PA...

It felt stable and still had pedal to go at that speed...

I also tested my 92 LX, it only does 110, but thats pretty quick, but not quick enough........ Time to take mommys credit card and go to summit racing. LMAO Once, i read somewhere that some dumb person said that they did 180 in there stock 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse. Then i publicly humiliatd the guy, and told him just because the speedometer goes to 180, does NOT mean the car can, it only goes so far becuase it is a hot car for people to tune. But does anyone know if that cars speedometer is even accurate at those speeds?

speedos get more inaccurate the higher the speed is. the speedo may say you are going 130.. when really it's 115.

I am not sure if that are really that innacurate, especially if you have the stock tire size still on it.

My 90 accord EX did 125 on i-4 in orlando, almost got p[ulled over by a state trooper but a guy in a eagle talon tsi(turbo) was doing like 160 and he got caught.....those drilled and sloted rotors really came in handy for me:D

What a dummy that talon driver was, the police crown vics have a top speed of 140, there limited. Maybe the highway patrol 'vics go faster, only because the likelyhood of having to stop a speed is increased, but i doubt it. But my local police department has two dark maroon corvettes, so i think if i ever do get a fast car, im NOT gonna( DUCK) around with that. lol.

my 97 accord has a governor at 118

I got to 115 in the interstate but got too chicken to go further...and I KNOW(sure felt like it) it woulda gone MUCH more! (got a 99 4DR EX) Spedometer goes to 150 sooooo.......
Do Accords have govenors? (Got a 98 Blazer to 120 in Texas and then it kicked in and shut me down. [:'(] Sorry, I don't want to hurt anyones feelings but I wanted to get through that state as fast as possible...hey I was headin' to Vegas..who wouldn't!??)

Ive gone between 120-125 down my road but slowed down because i passed my house. What is the top speed for my 99 Ex V6 accord? for now its stock but i plan on puttin stuff in, but after i but a rader!!;)

(anyone recomend stuff?)

Did 116 mph and let off, The Ex is suppose to be the model without a speed governer for the '95s so its suppose to do up to 130mph... got to take it there sometime! [&:]
