Im new here and this is my 1st post but ive been lurking for a while now. I should be gettin an 05 Accord coupe EX this week so i'll be making more posts real soon. I dont kno much about cars but am trying to learn so bare with some of my questions.

Ok so it seems that installing an after market headunit is a bit of a problem with the 7th gen accords cuz of the setup. The only options are to get the kit for the lil cubby hole or buy the T2 kit thats "cheap looking" from what ive heard. I just wanna kno is it possible to use the headunit from an accord that has the factory NAV. Could u swap it out and have evrything (a/c, climate control, etc) work the same?

all you climate contol buttons will work but the navagation screen won't.

ok so can u take that screen out and replace it with an aftermarket screen?

there is a thread about this in the electrical forum, you have alot of wires that will become a problem and a aftermarket doubledin can not replace the oem navigation screen. i have sent an email to metra who makes the kits for the accord and nothing is in production for the 7th gen to change the single din unit and add a double din. you chill just have to have the cubby double din or custom fabricate your own
