My 2003 Honda Accord LX 4 Door 4 Cylinder is due for 30,000 mile scheduled service. When i enquired with Honda Dealers they are quoting me around $350 + Tax for this service. How ever i enquired with other Private Honda Service (Who deals only with Honda-Acura Cars Service), they are quoting me around $215. I am new guy here in USA, so need some suggestions from you guys, whether it's ok to do 30,000 service at a private Honda Service guy instead of a Honda Dealer?

One more thing is, if i do this service at a Honda Dealer, they will update the CARFAX.COM however the private serivce guy will not. So just want to know How important it is to update the CARFAX report? And if i do the service at a private service place, is there any way i can update this service record at CARFAX.COM?

Appreciate if somebody respond to this.

 

i dont think they do much, but change the air filter, oil, and top off all fluids...they also prob inspect everyting...this is really not needed on cars of this quality. just change the oil every 7500 your good to go

go to the private shop..............350 for a 30k on a 2003 accord is TOTAL RIP OFF.. and as for the CARFAX update.. do not worry about it no big deal..

here is what a 30k .is

air filter
engine oil + filter
tranny fluid
cabin air filter
brake fluid .... some dealers do not even do that
rotate tires
chk car over, top all the fluids..

My advice ,,,,go to a shop that specializes on hondas and save the money.. make sure that they use Honda parts
