View Full Version : supercharger
02BlueAccord 07-19-2006, 04:13 PM i was thinking about buyin the electric supercharger that u attach to ur intake so it give ur motor more air. it wont take away from the power of the car already cuz it runs off a battery. this electric supercharger is only goin to be temporiary because im saving up to turbo my car. So do u think this electric supercharger would do anything like power wise?
marbro 07-19-2006, 05:17 PM depending on the one you get, it will rob your car of power
02BlueAccord 07-19-2006, 05:37 PM no it wont cuz it runs off a battery. u connect it to ur cai. and it send more air through it
mbo1985 07-19-2006, 10:56 PM save your money and do the real thing. I don't really think you'll be happy with it.
marbro 07-20-2006, 01:31 AM ok, once again, depending on which one you get it will rob your car of power, why because many of those cause more of a restriction then improve things by the air that they flow. You cant really make that claim unless you hook it up, but that doesnt mean its going to improve anything. But like mbo said, get the real thing cause its going to do more for you then any electric fan. Why waste your money on something youre going to take out and most likely not make half your money back on it?
lightshow 07-20-2006, 03:21 AM yea ive setup a electric supercharger system that made some real power, but no marine exhaust fan that moves 2 or 3 hundred cfm is going to do it though. it might even take power away from your car. id say expect it to be as good as that turbonater thing you put in your intake that spins the air. it will help atomize the fuel better. it may improve your gas mileage slightly. i think the turbonater is only like 20 bucks though. if your going to buy one of those 150 dollar ones off ebay i would not recommend it. save that money for a real turbo
stevephy 07-20-2006, 10:54 AM Ditto, save your cash. Improve something else: brakes, intake, exhaust, tires, wheels, almost anything.

Sorry, I just saw that you have most of that done...

legionofone 07-20-2006, 03:29 PM sorta a waste of cash for like 4-8 psi for 4-5 seconds... run a Fing supercharger and u will get 8-10 PSI ALL THE TIME!
