Hey id like to have a little performance boost in my 04 accord coupe 4 cyl and id like to know if there is like a computer/intake/exhaust that would give me a boost but not too much cause im still a teenager. Also on the exhaust does anyone know if i can get an exhaust like the v6's(because the bodykit i have has a hole on each side of the rear and i want to fill both of those holes) or would i havta have a v6? This is what im talkin about...

you can hang a dual exhaust for an I4 but I think it would be better if you visited k24 oriented websites

What is (a) k24?

K24 series of engine you have in your car.........you are down almost 100HP from the V6 (this engine is most likely underrated at 24X hp)

Do you or anyone else know of a intake or computer chip that would give me some extra power?

I would NOT mess with the ECU unless you are doing some SERIOUS modding... you can put an intake and headers on it. If you search the web for K24 performance you will find out all sorts of neat things......

I have a 300HP J32a2 (CL type S) Intake and headers :D

on top of that youve got a 4cyl the mods you put in less you do major rework will only give minor hp, doing a new ecu will only give minor hp, but changing your ecu means you will not be emissions compliant, because as far as i know moding 03+ ecu's hasnt been done yet, or at least not in a cost effective way, now if you had the v6 accord for pre 03, i would say sure ecu it, cause those have room for unused power, but the cost for you, for 5 to 10 crank hp just isnt justifible.

A less restrictive exhaust will help as will a DC Sports exhaust header. An air intake like a short ram or cold air intake will add a few ponies also. These are the most common mods but they can run into some $$$ when combined.

Ok but do you know if I can get an exhaust that fills the holes on both sides...b/c the body kit i got is for v6's and it looks bad in the rear...plus my stock exhaust is rusty anyways so it's that much worse...ill post pics later

I'm sure you can but it will likely need to be custom made.

I agree with RTexasF, custom type job.
If you want to nickel and dime your performance there are also power pulley kits that will 'free-up' a couple more ponies but nothing drastic.

would a custom job cost much?

weight over power... CF EVERYTHING drop the back seat... ditch the rims for stealies and so on...

300 HP can run 9s if its light enough (skunk 2 RSX)
1200 can run 9s in a full weight SS camaro

so basicly for us WEIGHT is everything

and FYI the K24 is way under rated also... (its to keep the insurance lower) a good way to pull some muscle out of ur car is to get the head off a newer RSX type s and u will scream to the tune of 220 HP :) and 8500ish redline :)

Like i said i dont want a 500 hp accord i just want something that can maybe give me just a miniature boost like 50 to 80 hp tops...

ok 50 HP is 210... i gave u the best way to get it...

if i was gunna tell ya how to REALY build it... i would tell ya

z3 head from a RSX
port and polish
civis SI P&P intake manifold with a bored out RB
Skunk 2 4 2 1 race header
shave the head dish the pistons
shave the crank
balance the rods and pistons
lightweight flywheel
light weight pullys
take off ur AC
take off ur power steering
run 102ish octane race gas
get a K pro hondata ECU
full catback exaust
strip ur entire car and chizzle out the 50iush pounds of sound deadening **POOPY** thats under ur carpet
swap in race seats
pull off all ur pannels and replace with carbon fiber
if ur up to it grab a TSX super charger

50 hp isn't going to be a simple exhaust or air intake. I would actually do the intake and exhaust mods and then consider nitrous.

I agree. Adding 50-80 horsepower is NOT bolt on stuff. Your expectations are a bit high unless you have a really fat wallet.

all i can say is put a intake and exhaust into it. you wont notice a big difference but you will feel a little difference. i put a aem sri and just a few days ago a apexi ws2 exhaust. i can feel gain but not much. and the sound ot it is nice and deep not ricey.

and also you could put some obx headers.

already told him about the head swap... 50HP = work... specialy from a Vtec-E 4 cylinder.... (thats what the k24A4 is) u need the Vtec head first then u will pull so much harder :) u will have 3 stages of V-tec and it will ROCK!
