I've seen on the www.honda-pilot.org site some disscussion on replacing the cabin A/C air filter. It talks about replacing the filter by removing the glove box door and taking a few screws out to access the filter slot. Has anyone done this in this forum? The manual says to take it to a dealer to do this work but it looks easy to do if you have some instructions and can remove a few screws. An easy way for a dealer to make a quick $100 or so bucks on labor for a simple job. Anyone know the procedure of removing the glovebox and accessing the cabin filter please contact me ASAP.

'02 Accord has 60,000 + miles and has yet to have this replaced, I can only imagine how dirty it is!!!!

Any help??

Here's a site that's a little better, I'll be doing this myself soon. I pulled the filter on our 03 Corolla @ 11,000 miles and it was gross beyond belief. Changing the filter on the 'Yota is almost a pleasure in that it's so simple. It would be nice if Honda took heed.

Once loaded click on product finder and follow the steps.

i have done a few of these..first remove the glovebox..then there should be a bracket where the lower part of the glovebox connects...then youll see a plastic black box type thing. there should be a plastic bracket with a lip on it. pull it down and the filters should be inside of it. replace and put back together...goodluck!
