interesting read, I wonder why they underrate hp in cars? To make it seem more economical?

 

great post tex, good read, i know this, i feel that my 3.0 v6 is probably in the same catergory,
meaning a touch underated, when i drive my car in 3rd on the auto trans and she's breathing in the 4k to 7k range, i think, yup this is why i love the vtec.... great engine.

many companies under rate HP due to either insurance rate cuts, or local limitations...have you ever noticed how all of the powerful japanese performance cars are ALL 276 hp?
