Not a fan. Looks like a cheap Audi knock off with a few Volvo inspirations from other pics.

No way. Looks kind of like one of the new Hyundai's....I thought Hyundai was the one that stole car designs from everybody else? Not good Honda...Not good at all. I'm extremely disappointed.

omfg...wow...the design is even worse than concept.

Wheels are too small and it rides a bit too low. As in low in the front, high in the back.

Tailights are like the sides of the 7th generation without the row of lights continuing onto the trunk.

God...I might as well trade my 2003 for a 2007. NOT 2008.

I TOTALLY AGREE! This is terrible! I sure hope they change it before releasing it to the public!

I don't like the 7th generation body style, although the coupe looks nice for this generation. This 8th generation concept though looks horrible! I am a fan of the 6th generation. Also, the 5th generation seems to be extremely popular.

This close to the 2008 release I believe what you see is what you will get..........and so far I don't care for it.

I rekon Im in the minority cause I kinda like it. It does favor the BMW and Altima some but overall I think it looks ok.

I was hoping they would adopt a more TL look to it tho.

You know...I always find that when something new comes out from honda I never like it but it always seems to grow on me. I think you need to give it a month or so before you really can say if you like it or not. I still hate the late 90's civic hatchbacks though.

Yeh maybe Honda needs to combine some TL accents in the accord. The TL is the best looking sedan on the road. I WOULD LOVE TO GET ONE!!

Honda's design just needs to grow on people...it's like the annoying relative who keeps nagging you for some money. You eventually get fed up with it and relent/accept it.

cars can only have so many designs before they become knockoffs of others...... i offer you all a cardboard box to drive ^_^

** Now that's good for me because I can then sell all the new owners of these New Hondas Bigger Wheels and the Lowering Springs...Goody, Goody, Goody ;););)*

A possible blessing of an i-VTEC 6? Or better yet...the a-VTEC.

I doubt Honda will sell us the JDM engine....

Here are some more pictures I found on the 6thGen website: http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=689703
As I posted over in 6th gen, the sedan looks like a Scion TC took a crap on a Toyota Camry and the coupe looks like a Scion TC took a crap on a Nissan 350Z. The sedan also looks kind of Saturn-ish[sm=lame.gif] Unless they blow me away with the engine performance, I am not a fan at all!
If you look at the links on the left side of the page there are some interior shots. Looks like another 2 foottall truck style gear shifter[sm=boosign.gif]

I guess Honda wants people like me to keep blasting money into the Accord to create sleepers.

The 6 better pack 300+ horses....that or bring the Type S/R modifications to the table. Accord....Type S. How sweet would that be?

my guess is 280 for the v6 and 190-200 for the 4 banger...i like the way they look but the coupe is sexiier

The coupe's design is more fresh and clean...the sedan (once again) is jipped of aesthetics.

EDIT- Interior (Steering Wheel) - Ripped off Civic. Still a 5 speed for the 4. :(

That seriously might be enough to make me think about trading. But, then again, I have problems.

Honda Accord Type S

"Millions of Accord owners screamed in delight as the Honda Motor Company finally delievered the first 300 units of the Honda Accord Type S to the United States. With improved intake and exhaust configuration, not to better a higher compression ratio, the Type-S blares out 220 hp for the 4 cylinder models and 300 hp for the cylinder. Factory estimates a 0-60 time in less than 6 seconds, but many are wary of the estimate calling those figures: "grandma driving". With a new redline of 8000 rpm mated to a 6 speed manual transmission, Honda just unleashed the beast under the sporty hood of the Accord. This is 03Sleeper with Fantasy Automobile News wishing you good luck and good night."

lmao.

But ToV released an article that's almost as good.

A-VTEC will most likely first appear in the 2008 Accord, which makes the introduction of that model even more highly anticipated than it already was. We were also led to believe that A-VTEC will first appear on a 4 cylinder engine. Will it be SOHC or DOHC? Will it be a variation of the K-series or R-series, or a whole new engine? Perhaps most intriguing to me is whether or not this technology will appear on the J-series V6? If it works as predicted, the life of the J-series could be extended significantly. Class leading top end power could be matched with vastly improved midrange torque and fuel economy – all while remaining smaller and lighter by virtue of using a SOHC design. Pay close attention in the coming months for official news from Honda on this exciting new technology.

Honda, being it's usual self, is gonna go economy first, then unleash it in sporty/performance vehicles (most likely candidate: Acura TSX) like in the K20/K24 additions. Perhaps this will be called....L? R?
