New to HAF with a HAH

I just picked up a '06 HAH with 21K miles on it on Saturday. I've got a80 mile commute and with my '03 Vibe GT I always felt like I needed something a little more.......well a little more of everything. I have been wanting a new Jetta sportwagen TDI but I couldn't bring myself to own another VW. Not that I am homophobic or anything but I've just had issues with them in the past. Anyways, I had it home all of about 30 minutes on Saturday and I had the fender well apart yanking out the intake silencer/snorkel. I've got a drop-in K&N on order and I will be stopping by the local dealer to order a 20mm rear bar later this week. I figure the 20mm bar would be a good choice with the extra battery weight out back. Yes, the wheels will be going away AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I am going for a subtle look so I am leaning towards take off wheels preferable from an '02-'03 TLS. I am also researching spring/strut options but I like the HFP so far since I don't want to worry any time the wife drives it. I thought about throwing on a front lip but after looking at pics of the '05 retrofit I may go a different direction. Oh yeah, and my first trip to work netted 43.3 mpg(according to the dash) but I will be keeping close tabs on this each fill up. Yes, I know the wheels suck.

That is a good looking ride. I agree about the wheels but I would suggest you first try spraying them with a flatting clear coat to cut the shine. That might be enough to move them down the list of "things-to-do" and give you time to get used to look of the HAH before you select your wheels.

Thanks, I was amazed at how well taken care of the car was. The wheels are going away ASAP, period, no 2nd thoughts about it. I've been browsing craigslist and ebay trying to find something quick. I'm just glad the windows are tinted so no one recognizes me.

Dang that accord is legit! Super clean, wish my 91 accord looked as stylin as this one.
