Bought a 1994 s10 4X4 blazer for the winter. my accord is low and parents were being weird about the weather and my safety. payed 600 for it. it started, ran, and drove, well too....at first. four wheel drive wouldnt engage(whats the point of buying it?) first it starts killing my battery, then it begs for a tune up. so i attempt to fix the electrical and do a tuneup. drive it for about a month and one day my transmission stops upshifting and i lose all my gears beyond second. typical blazer tranny problem/failure of that time. engine ran beautifully until the fuel line started leaking a week later. guess what? i still own this truck and no one will buy it for parts :P oh and i forgot to mention 10 MPG!!!

went back to my accord and put winter tires on it for the same price i payed the blazer and it out did most other vehicles in the snow. what was i thinking?

But I guess you can get a lemon anywhere. I have always heard bad things about Audi - or German cars in general though.
One of my work buddies owns an A4 so he feels my pain. The only problem is they are so much fun to drive, really. It handles like a bead of water sliding across some glass...it's about as fragile too. It really is a love hate relationship with that car. VR6 FTL...

Changed my mind about getting an A6.

Hey Jon, Does your wife let you drive her Ford Edge?
Do you like how it handles?

I love it. Although once she went out of town on a business trip (rode with somebody else) and I thought I was going to get to drive it. She accidentally took both sets of keys with her!
Anyways any time we ride in it she makes me drive. She doesn't like driving when someone else is in the car.
I like how it handles, but I don't have to drive on any curvy roads. That thing has some real power too. When you want to pass somebody, put your foot down and you'll be doing 100 before you know it.
Ride comfort is awesome too. Not all bumpy like an Explorer (which rides like a pickup truck)
I highly recommend it.
Just got done doing my second oil change on it. It now has a little over 12k on the odo. Almost all of that is highway miles though.

my worst car was when i started to get into honda. 93 Civic, it sprayed more oil out the tailpipe than a 2 stroke dirtbike! floated(or what sounded like floating) the valves at 4500rpm and i literally drove it until the wheel fell off, right into a privacy fence.

Actually, I was in college, we had a 1967 VW type-3 squareback. With rusty rocker panels, it had no defrosters. So one day my dad saw this Opel & didn't even drive it. He just turned on the defroster fan & said "Ill take it".

Burned oil, had an auto-tranny that would always flare-shift between 1&2 and it got about 12 mpg.

LOL, I thought you were going to say the VW was worse. I had a POS '64 Notch about 10 years ago. One time my wife was driving my mom back from the grocery store, she made a left turn and the passenger side door swung open and my mom almost fell out.

Remember the front springs on that old VW were torsion bars across the whole front? One of 'em came apart & suddenly the right-front corner of the car was down on the ground. Luckily it was when my brother was driving... (LOL) actually luckily it was when he was in a parking lot barely moving.

LOL, good times for sure

I had a baja once that when reversing and turning it would flip the inside trailing arms forward. Strangest thing I ever saw. It wouldn't completely rotate around because the shock wouldn't allow it but I still had to get out and lift the front end up(luckily had a fiberglass front end) and move it back into position.

I've had several POS cars. my first was the 2000 Focus. nice looking, nice running piece of crap. when it ran. would randomly die in traffic. towed to the mechanic, start and drive off the wrecker. had it 2 years and ford never did figure out what was wrong with it.

1999 Durango. gas hog and poorly engineered. terrible wind leakage. HORRIBLE brakes. awful suspension. numerous electrical problems. crappy transmission. it finally blew the front diff when i really needed it to get home in the snow. so SOLD to the highest bidder (which wasnt very high)....

Chevy cavalier. Poor oil pressure. on hills, the oil light loved to come on.

Had a 2002 taurus. started at 90k with the trans and didnt stop there. never did run right. replaced sensors, plugs, wire, coil, everything anyone could think of to get rid of a misfire that many other people experience. never did run right. Totalled it last month. 15 yo pulled out in front of me on a busy road. hit him at 45 MPH. and the airbags didnt even deploy. WTF!!!! (car had just been serviced and the airbags checked, too!!)

Crown vic. trans problems, poor valve guides and electrical gremelins.

97 Ford F150. Still have it. I like this truck but it needs money. Have hit 2 deer, ran over a sofa on the freeway, and had someone set it on fire. still runs pretty damn good, considering..........

best car of all is the old honda. hell yes!!!!
