BUT....
The driving experience is unmatched. The combination of luxury, performance, and handling is what sells the car. My Accord is fun to drive in its own rite, but IMO, Honda and Acura (at least whatwe can buy here)are still behind the curve in that regard. Put out a RWD sedan, and that will be the first step.

My luxury car? Thats kind of a toughy! Luxury isnt really that important to me. I like power, style, and the ability to feel the road. I would probably go with an Acura or Chrysler.
As for smaglik, im sorry to hear that about your BMW. Isn't it also an outrageous price just the have the dealership look at your car? i was thinking the $500 range. Ouch.

Actually, the bend you over the counter and do the ole PIITB. If you're lucky, theyll swap the kitty litter for 10W40.
Actually, its like any other dealer. If you have a good relationship with the dealer, they will go the extra mile. The bigger issue is that you are limited with the use of independent shops. I have an indy shop that I have used in town for years on my hondas, but they dont even want to touch the M3 except for the most basic things. Its just not in their area of expertise. In that regard, if the **** hits the fan, you may end up having to pay dealer rates...
...but, to combat this, BMW has a pretty decent CPO program (pretty much everything but body and radio till 100k), as well as covering all maintenance on the car to 50k. The mainteneance can be extended to 100k as well. The maintenance is pretty good too. It covers all the specified services, as well as brakes, clutch, and oil changes. I have both the CPO and maintenance on mine till 100k...or 03/09. I am not sure I will care to own the vehicle outside of the warranties...
