I got a brand new body kit off craigslist for dirt cheap ($150) It is brand new doesnt even have the holes drilled yet. Manufacturer unknown "spyder" type kit. I am an aircraft mechanic i work on jets but i have never tried paint/body work. I was wondering if there is a sight that could help me out with instructions or maybe has some step by step or pics you know. Am i in over my head trying to tackle a project like this? All the work you see in these pics i did myself, including lowering, headers, etc., etc...Any help would be great.

For $150 what do you expect? Id take it to a body shop and let them do it professionally and paint. If the kits made really cheap and doesnt line up well, id scrap it and buy a higher quality one from a manufacturer

Body kits can look ok if done right, but stay FAR AWAY from the big wings!

 

Um... i get more compliments on that wing then anything else i have done to my car... look at it this way... at least i didnt spend money on a 4 door lol... and your hood looks retarded yo... did you run out of paint before u did ur mirrors? Are you kidding me?? If you think your car looks better than man you REALLY need glasses because that wing and dash is straight RICER! Then you wanna say stuff about my paint job when my paint job and wheels cost more than you even paied for your car. Then you wanna say bad stuff about my car because its a 4 door, but atleast mines a 5 speed not a AUTO! So go put on that crappy body kit RICE that car out some moreand keep wishing your car looked even half as good as mine with your cheap rims

 

O and saying my Vis CF hood looks bad is also funny and don't hate because you can't afford to buy it because its a $500 hood, but you spent money on those cheap *** rims and bought your body kit off craigs list...lol

yeah dont make make fun of our 4doors .. cheaper insurance than two doors =)

and the wing is a matter of opinion..but dont bag on us .. esp if you have an auto

but back on topic..its better to spend the money on kits..cuz going the cheap route is not a good idea IMO..do it right the first time
