Wow. Those door panels are looking amazing. I've actually decided to do this. You say that one the fabric, even after painting, it keeps the texture? And that goes for the seats and carpet as well?
I'm probably going to do black and dark gray if I can find a dark gray paint. lol.

Hmmm. Well then, I think I have a better idea for the fabrics then, if the carpet was the only thing that kept it's "feel". I made a thread a while back, it's a how to thread, and it's a sticky. "How to dye seat belts" or something like that. I think I can use the same process to dye the speaker covers. I don't plan on dying the seats, I'm just going to pay to have them reupholstered in black leather.

I had thought about the "whole texture" thing. One it is a excellent choice to NOT dye the seats, JUST IN CASE, it would ever rub of on someone's clothes. But that fabric paint I used, one idea I had, but did not do was, after each VERY THIN coat... grab a moist sponge and gently wet the fibers... then let it dry 30 min, and do another coat... What do you think? This way the paint would not be as concentrated??? Does it make sense.

I would moisten the sponge with a little bit of distilled paint thinner and get some paint thinner in a spray bottle and spray a light mist of it after each coat, rub it in a little, let it sit for about 45 minutes, and redo it about 5 times. Then after the 5th coat, let it dry for a whole night and gently wipe it all down with a little water and a rag.
