Best way to remove glue after Debadging?
hey all, first post here. i just got a new 06 accord coupe and am loving it. the other day i took off the accord badge, but the glue is still there. i've read that it can be taken off with goo gone or goof off and the like, but what is the best way to remove it? will goo gone or anything strip the paint or damage it? should i wax the area afterwards or is it fine? thanks

RE: Best way to remove glue after Debadging?
I would stay away from Goof Off, I have never tried it on a car paint and never intend to. It will melt anything plastic easily....
As for Goo Gone, haven't used it much. I removed mine with a standard tar/bug remover and a cloth (and a ton of elbow grease). Be careful to keep your rag clean, all that little dirt will put hairline scratches on the paint. I also like the little scrubbers with the net on the outside (whatever they are called). #1 rule though stay away from abrasives of any sort.
When you are done you NEED to wax the area.....the wax will be removed by the cleaner. Most tar/bug removers state this on the directions. Be sure that the surface is clean of the tar/bug remover before waxing, as most of them leave an oily residue.
Hope this helps you out...
