Custom Fabrication
Anyone have any experience with custom interior/exterior fiberglass fabrication? I'm planning on doing some at-home stuff to totally redo the interior and possibly some exterior on my car. I found a way to make fiberglass parts without presses or anything. It involves using styrofoam, putty, silicone, fiberglass resin, fiberglass material, bondo, plenty of sanding, and some painting. Any experienced thoughts would be cool. Thanks in advance =)

People use presses for glass shaping? The styrofoam process you listed is a very old and very common method for making fiberglass object. Nothing new.

Yeah, I meant without using a pre-made plug. I don't know a whole lot about it, I just now started researching it.
I guess my question is does anyone have any online resource they could direct me to in do-it-yourself fiberglass fabrication?
Thanks again.

Wow, nevermind I just found some stuff. Finch, your signature rocks man. I found this web page using that "use me to search HAF" link.
http://www.fiberglasstechnique.com/F...ique/Guide.php
Also, on that website it says that it covers something called Composite 101 and 202 and Advanced... I had no idea you could go to college for that. Man, that's right up my alley... I wonder how secure a career in composite fabrication is...
