Good set of Headlights?
Hey everybody, so I noticed tonight while I was rolling around town that one of my headlight bulbs is out... I had had some cheap kinda semi-performance bulbs in them, so I'm really not surprised that they went out this fast lol. Does anybody know of a good headlight brand to buy that will be light super bright? Are those Xenon Sylvannia bulbs any good lol?

^ I'd like to help myself but my wife would shoot me..... *L*
Sylvania Silverstars are about the best bang for your buck as far as brightness and quality goes... .be sure not to touch the bulb when you are installing them

Sorry couldn't help myself. Sylvania seems to be the leader.

RE: Good set of Headlights?
Okay, so I got myself some new headlights, not silverstars though. They are Plasmaglows (No idea if they are a reliable brand or not) but now I just have more questions... First off, what does HID actually mean? Secondly, these new bulbs say that they are 80 watt bulbs, which poses a problem for my light housings that are only rated at 50 watts. I had run some bulbs prior to these that were 55 watts, and I think that they worked fine, but these new bulbs, although bright, seem like they are running a bit dim. I remember hearing that true HID lights (whatever the heck HID means) require a like secondary power source or something... What's the deal with that, and if they do need extra power, how should I go about doing that? (spare speaker wire to the battery right?)
