Sounds good Too Fat. Thats what I use my brights for...flashing, so I will leave well enough alone.

do the tyc or aero or any aftermarket projectors have a cutoff line. or does it make that big of a difference?

Yeah, they all have cutoffs. Not very clean ones, but they have them.

i installed my kit and everything went good, they're still in the stock housing so is there anyway to adjust how the beam is projecting? (since there is of course the lack of a projector)

You can't adjust the pattern, but there are bolts on the back to adjust the direction it shines in. I recommend parking about 10 ft. away from a wall or garage door and lowering the beam about 2 in.

Speaking of patterns there was a new TL behind me with I think had to be 55w HIDs. I'm a serious beliver in projectors now, I think I may even want a retro fit in the future....

TL projecotrs for $250? Yuck, TL's have a huge lens that's hard to swap in most lights... color modded TSX is the way to go!
