Default HID lighting 4300k or 6000k?

Hey guys, I couldn't find a thread on this subject when I searched for it. If there already is one, I apologize.

Anyway, I recently installed an after market projector housing with an HID kit.
It came pre-installed with 8000k bulbs. While they did look cool, they were too blue and I could not see well. I understand the higher the kelvan temp the less visible the Light.

So I know that 4300k is stock OEM on most cars with HIDs and 6,000k looks cool but not too blue. Does 6000k still light up the road?

Does anyone already have this set up and possibly pictures? A family member took it upon them selves to adjust my beam pattern with out asking and broke one of my bulbs so I need to replace it, but I don't want the same bulbs that don't light up the road well. This is a picture of the park lights.

I have 6000k HIDs with the stock housing on my 7th gen and I love them. It makes a big difference with sight and looks really nice on the car. It's slightly blue but not obnoxiously blue. I am looking into new headlight casing for projector headlights, I feel like it would make an even bigger difference.

Thankyou for you input. I decide to get the 6,000k bulbs and will post pictures after I get them. I bought some German manufactured bulbs this time, should be an upgrade of the crappy Chinese 8,000k bulbs thAT came with the projector housings. I recommend them, they won't blind people .

Personally I like the 43,000 K bulbs. The yellower light is more visible to us, and does not hurt the eyes of oncoming traffic so much.

Honestly, I would not be surprised if it is not the bulbs that are not lighting up the road. I place my bet that it is actually your headlights. The headlights you have (by the look of them they are eBay projectors). If they are, those headlights are notorious for have bad light output. The simple fact is, they are cheap, and for that amount of money you cannot expect to have a quality projector that gives a good output.

I bought them from a place called pro tuning lab, paid $160. I ordered some hid bulbs from Germany, they are supposed to be cut better and have more lumens then Chinese bulbs. I will have to wait and see.

If you turn them on too fast sometimes one won't turn on. Just do it slow AMD you shouldn't have a problem.

I got mine off ebay and the first time I chose 4300K and they looked light bluish but lit up the road really well. I had a ballast go bad and ordered a new set that were 5000k and they look almost the same color. I think if you go any higher than 5000k then you will get too far away from what works best to illuminate the road. JMO
