Those halogens you have are maybe, but probably not almost 5000k, no halogen is going to be above 5000k. Seriously I feel like everything I say goes through one ear and out the other... All those halogen look like crap, so it doesn't really matter what you do. And in one year you'll have spent the same amount on bulbs then you could just get a HID kit. Actually you could have bought a kit instead of three different pairs of halogens that you have. I'm done, do as you will it doesn't affect me any.

RE: HID Newb
in this pic you will see that you can never get a bluish true blue or whatever color, just read the chart
k=kelvin
that that number represents is when something burns at 8000k that means the color it gives off(object buring at 8000kelvin) is the same color as the light
our point is that you will never get the color you think your gonna get.....

RE: HID Newb
How are you not getting this? Halogens can and will not give you color. You can only get COLOR C...O...L...O...R from a damn HID. You can tint an halogen all you want your not going to make it produce much color. HIDs are $60 now, you spent around that on your little halogen bulbs. So to put it simply. You want color? Then you want H.I.Ds, period. If you want to save money you want HIDs, if your going to use the ones you have your going to be changing them ever 4 or 6 months. My HIDs lasted me a year and half and I used to use them during the day, and my ballasts are still going strong after 2.5 years.
