I was reading into it, 55w also need a relay harness which tacks on another $25, plus they cause more heat so I'll pass.

35w is fine with me. I don't even plan on gettin dual beam. I'll just stick to the low beams. I'm still debating the 6000k or 8000k. Also, are my OEM headlight casings fine? I don't plan on upgradin anytime soon

Depends on what you want HIDs for. If you want to see better and have better visibility then 6000k is better, but if you want HIDs just for the color then I would go for 8000k. 6000k are slightly brighter and give you better contrast.

I would NOT run 55w low beams. You will get in trouble with the law/flashed. They are far too bright for low beams. fog lights or high beams maybe, but not low beams.

Haha ya that's the issue with a lot of ppl man. Well lights ARE there to see better but then i would just keep my halogens...hmm..Is 8000k much worse for visibility? I heard when it rains the color doesn't help at all.

I have the DDM Tuning set w/ that relay. 5000k and I am happy. Though it is a bit confusing (or maybe I was just stupid that day) when I was installing mine b/c I had to reverse the wiring as Cameron said and then the relay harness added a bit of annoyance. But finally I got it. I have TYC projectors and got flashed quite a bit at the beginning but now after I aimed them down a bit I get flashed maybe once a month.

5000k and 6000k still give you better visibility with the added light. The lower kelvin does give you added contrast though. There are HIDs in 4000k and 2000k which will give you even more contrast. Are 2000k dimmer than 5000ks? They seem to be.

Well I my self have dual halo projectors and running with 8000k and to be honest its true that on rain its not much of help with them so pretty much its up to you if you get lots of rain in your location then your better of with 6000k I personally don't care with mine because I've got 3200k fog lights so that helps me out a lot on the rain.
