Default I want new headlights for my '97 ex

Hi, I'm completely new to this site and want some advice. (By the way, yes, I am a girl and therefore have little skill when it comes to my car.) Have any of you replaced your headlights completely? Have any of those swaps been using Halos? I really want new headlights but don't know where to start looking. My brother is a total car guy (autocrosses an '01 supercharged mazda protege, custom spoiler, body kit, gutted interior, custom dash, nice set of slicks, new wheels, redone racing seats with racing seatbelts, and so much more) and told me that Halos would look too "ghetto" on my car. Any recommendations?
By the way, the car is white.

Personally I would seggest that you listen to your brother no halo's or LEDs that mimic Audi. You can probably go with projectors But it deepeneds on what car you have and what you like some cars can rock projectors some cars can't. I would also recommend going with lights that have a lot of black for a white car. think of it as eyeliner. That my opinion.

I'm gonna be ordering new headlights for my 97 soon. I'm going with black JDM replica housings with amber corner lights. They're simple, but look good. Your brother is right about the halos, even though SOME cars can pull them off, not many can. I would stick with the typical halogen reflector headlights.
