Default info before buying HID's

is it worth spending money on HID brands like MTEC or McCulloch? I have an 08 accord coupe and I have been looking for an HID kit for some time but I want something thats reliable. I'm willing to spend $300 but I've read that the "good" brands aren't worth it for many reasons.I'm looking for some 8000k's and if anyone could help me out and give me some info ide appreciate it.

How much did your mechanic take to install them?

yeah its really not hard, if you can hook hook speakers up to a home stereo you can install HIDs

I'm a pretty hands on guy with furniture but Electrical stuff is not my calling lol. I'll take it to the mechanic.

I put HIDs in myself - very easy / plug and play - EBay specials and they work.

I went with 6000K and they already have a "fake" look to them.

The 4300K to 5000K are brighter and look better.

I bought the 50W ones but I would buy the 35W next time; they are plenty bright and last longer.
