light bulb laws
Does anyone happen to know of a comprehensive site that lists the laws by state for car lights? Specifically, Im wondering if my corner turn signal bulbs HAVE to be orange, or if I can replace the bulbs with clear. Also, my car is registered in Oregon, but I live in Tennessee due to the military, so I probably have to follow Tennessee laws, correct? Thanks guys.

RE: light bulb laws
Well in Illinois they either have to be red or amber. I ordered altezza tail lights and the stock bulbs were white so I had to hard wire amber bulbs for the correct signal. I assume they are all about the same. Good luck though

Well I have the clear corners up front, and since I have some extra clear bulbs lying around, I just got to thinking that it would look pretty slick with all clear bulbs in the corners. I have the Jaguar style tail lights, so the rear signal is still red. Maybe I'll just put the clears up front till I get pulled over for it lol.

Ohhh. You mean the corners next to the headlight? Yeah, those are legal to have white. I mean they are next to the headlight and since they arent aftermarket driving lights they wont blind anyone. Check out my gallery, i did the same thing except I added an amber bulb too. The cool thing is that the white bulbs that I got for my corners have a blue coating that wont peel...so when they are off it looks saweet!

I'm not sure about your state but I believe Montana requires yellow turn indicators as well, if those are your turn signal lights I'd probably just grab some yellow bulbs from napa to be safe
