Default Paint question

Has anyone had problems with their paint. I have a 2004 Accord-graphite pearl color. The clear coat is breaking down in a number of spots--some areas are all the way through. Service manager tried to say something that got on it caused it. It has 10K miles. It is waxed with Meguiars tech wax every 2 to 2 1/2 months. Mostly it is garaged at home. My 01 Excursion gets the driveway--maintained the same and yet I have had absoleutely no problems with that paint ever. Appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

Why is it that they always blame somebody/something else instead of acknowledging and fixing the problem? This should not be happening to any new car. Go over that twit's head and pursue the matter with HIS boss. If to no avail, talk to Honda directly.

You must talk to the Honda Manufactures Rep about that paint, there should not be any problems that a new car should be having.

Also you should report the fact that the dealer guy gave you the **** a mammy story that he gave you.
Most of the Honda dealers across the USA a striveing to become 5 star shops, and that is not a way for them to get any kind of a good rateing..

Go for the Representative from Honda..

I have a 199 Honda Accord and am experiencing the same problem. I think it may be related to the Florida heat, but it still should not happen. I haven't talked to Honda yet, but I do plan to. I had a bad accident a few years ago. All the panels that were replaced are fine. The ones that weren't have the clear coat peeling off.
