Default Tail light tint spray???

I'm looking to tint the tailights on my '96 240sx and don't have any experience doing it... Can anyone tell me what the best spray to use is?? I'm guessing you just wet sand the lights, clean, and spray?? Correct??

Here's a pic for reference....

yep, that's how most people do it. Some people just don't sand it at all and just spray it.

I was actually thinking of doing the same thing to my car.... and during my research most people said they just skipped the sanding, cleaned them with alcohol, and then sprayed them with some stuff called VHT Nite-Shades....then after you do that they will be a dull finish so you use gloss and it will make them shiny again as if it were stock.

im still debating wether or not to do it on my car. i guess it depends on if i can figure out how to get the amber out of my tails.

i've been wanting to do this for a while actually. do you know what kind of gloss you use? do you know of any named brands that i can look for? i already looked for some VHT Nite-Shades and found some.

If you have Michaels arts and crafts store or any other arts and crafts store you can get some of those Krylon Stained Glass paint.
