Default 05 Navi Orange Disc need new version

I just purchased a 2005 Accord Coupe EX-V6 w/Navi. I absolutely love it! The 6 speed manual transmission really makes it a JOY to drive.

To cut to the chase, I checked with Honda about a new Navi disc and they said it is $185! That is crazy! I know the map looks dated and my road is in the wrong place, but what improvements have they made to warrent such a big price tag? I have version 3.30g and the newest is 3.90. Does anyone have it? Is it that big a deal.

I am about to sell my TomTom but now have second thoughts since the in dash navi is so dated. Can anyone help?

Thanks,
William

the difference will be major road changes, POI changes, etc. I doubt your road will be any closer, unless it's a major thoroughfare.

consider which controls you prefer. having it integrated is nice (as you have found) , but updates will always be needed.

at some point your Tom Tom will fail, be broken, etc. At that point, the disc is cheaper than a good GPS unit.
