Default 10 or 12 inch subwoofers

I am planning on buying alpine type r subs in either a 10 or 12 inch diameter. What are the pros and con between the 10`s and the 12`s. Thanks

10's are quicker, and hit harder than 12's, so there good for like death metal or some double bass, but you'll loose some of the really deep bass and long holding bass. 12's are great all around, alittle slower, but still not bad, but id get 10's for your car personally, i dont think the car can handle more than that with stock speakers

I've got two 12's and love em. I guess it just depends on what music you listen to.

Yeah, its just too bad that depending on the 12's you wont notice less sound quality over the 10's

the subs will be my last addition to my cars sound system since i have type r`s and type s components alreday running off a 680 soundstream amp. I love my very clear and loud car already so , i dont want to screw up on the subs. i listen to almost any type of music so i guess i`ll have to hear some different size subs to really decide.
