Exclamation 1997 Accord radio installation HELP ME

I have a 1997 Honda accord LX, i recently installed a pioneer aftermarket radio in it and when i turned on the parking lights it popped the #15 fuse (small lights). so of course i put my factory radio back in and it fixed the issue immediatly, i have installed radios many times and generally know what im doing but i have never used the illumination wire on the aftermarket wiring harness before and would love some advice on where i need to install that particular illumination wire to??? bc i have a feeling that its the illumination wire not being hooked up that is causing the issue. please help me if u can.

it is the illumination wire. you need to cap off all unused wires. I prefer crimp caps.

It needs to be used or my gauge lights, parking lights and taillights do not work... I kno what wire it is, and what it does, I just can't turn my parking lights on or it pops the small lights fuse

? I meant the one coming off of the new radio. you said in your first post you didnt hook it up. if it isnt hooked up it needs to be capped off. if it is hooked up you have a short somewhere more than likely.

yep, sounds like the wire is shorting out because it wasn't properly capped/insulated. the orange and orange/white wires should be independently capped and insulated - both on the vehicle harness side and the head unit side.
