Default 2 AMPS for 1 SUB?

I was wondering if i can powr 2 amps into 1 subs?
i have a 15 inch JL and i power it right now at 1000 watts. I know that my sub can handle more watts then that. So i was wonder can i power it with 2 amps?

it will most likely work, now how well i dunno. ive seen people try that kind of set up before and it usually ends up sounding worse than it did with one amp. but if you are going to do that you need to make sure you do the math for the ohm load. make sure you dont burn up one or both of your amps, or mess up the sub.

there are several factors you need to take into consideration...is your sub dual voice coil? 4ohm or 8ohm? what ohms is your amp stable at? are both amps the same? what is the max wattage your sub can handle? and what is the RMS rating for your sub...this could be an expensive F**k up if it goes wrong
