Default 2006 Accord EX Horn noise when using remote lock

Hey everyone..

I have a 2006 honda accord EX and I hate the loud annoying horn honk when i hit the lock on the remote twice.

I know I can hit it once to lock the doors, but from what I've read you have to hit it twice to actually arm the alarm.

Is there any simple way to install a second horn/alarm so it'll chirp when activating the alarm? The stock horn is just to loud and annoying..

I found some device online that looked very complicated to wire up and works by tapping into your parking lights but it looks a little more than i could accomplish.

you'd have to study the wiring diagrams to find the signal that controls the horn from the security system, then intecept that and feed the signal to a siren instead. it's possible, but it will be complicated for someone not experienced in electronics.

you could just buy an aftermarket alarm that also functions as an actual security system with shock and glass break sensors, remote start, etc.
