Default 2012 question.

My family and I are looking to buy our first Accord. But we're tight on cash. The SE model is all we need except. The outside temperature gauge. That is a must have. Any of you know if a dealership can install one like on the EX mOdel? Thanks.

You can just get a different rear view mirror with a temp and compass

How much would one be? And can the dealership install one?

I don't get why an outside temp gauge is a must have.. do you know what it does?? lol..

I say stick ya hand out the window, if it's cold, then its cold, if ya hand gets wet, guess what?? it's raining.. you get the idea..

i want a compass. a temp gauge lets you know when it hits the freezing mark outside so you know how to prepare. a handy feature up north.

a compass is much more useful. i will be snagging myself a rear view mirror with a compass from a salvage yard soon.

to the OP here I am going to help you as well.

1) Tight on cash, get a 03 Accord much cheaper - keeping up with the Jones's will never get you anywhere.

2) you wanna know how cold it is outside, stick this on the outside of one of your windows - problem solved for around $5.00

OP - I can understand you wanting a digital display as the one I showed above is a bit low tech

I can help you with that as well

oh come on seriously?? i live in new york and if it gets to around 38 degrees or so, we kinda assume it'll be cold.. it's not like there's any extra preparation for the 32 degree freezing mark as opposed to the 38 degree mark.. everybody has a smart phone anyway or at least a radio, there are ways to find out the temps when you're on a budget..

i still say stick ya hand out the window.. if it feels like you about to get frost bite, it's winter..
