2013 Accord problems with nav. and blutooth

On paper, 360 watts, 7 speakers should sound good, if not very good. The front tweeters appear to be a decent quality metalic dome tweeter, certainly not the cheapest of its kind out there, but mine are barely audible. I can hardly hear anything coming from the rear. I am convinced the issue is not the speakers themselves, but the electronics, either the amplifier or the relationship between the output of the audio system and the active noise cancelling. This is by far the worst sounding system I have heard in any car at any price in the last 20 years. I have a call into Honda, awaiting a follow up. I might even stop by a dealer and take a listen to a Civic which also has a 360watt 7 speaker "premium" sounds system available in teh coupes with tweeters that look identical to ours.
As far as adding an amp and changing the speakers, you will probably need some sort of "clean up" pre amplifier to clean the sound coming out of the radio before it his the amp.

have the Samsung galaxy s3, My texts/ emails wont show up on screen. Honda website said i have to have MAP but dont know what that is or how to activate it. Also think its SUPER stupid how you cant enter addresses or the phone book while driving, anyone know how to bypass that? also do you know whether video bypass is possible on it too, is it an OEM navigation and sound system? please and thanks accord fans.

I just sold my 2003 Civic HX Coupe, with the 4 stock speakers and a mid-line Alpine head unit (no other audio modifications). The sound in that car was ten times better than what is in the new Accord! That is not good, Honda...

Additional electronics issues ...
I have had my new 2013 Accord EXL w Navi for 3 weeks. Great drive ... but the elecronics issues I have seen thus far:
1) Occassionally the Navi and radio screens are black at vehicle startup. Will power on unexpectantly while driving.
2) Not happy with certain Navi functions not being available with the vehicle moving. I find voice recongition for Navi nonfunctional. Give me the option to choose not to lose Navi functions while the vehicle is moving. I think there are much more safety issues with struggling with the voice recognition system repeatedly for long periods of time with no success versus using the menu system. While driving ... selected Place Category - selected Community - had to say Next to scroll to Schools on the next screen - selected Schools - selected City Vicinity - had to use voice to find my city - the system could not recognize any city that I spoke - the screen would show "searching" forever. Had to use the back button each time to get out of this. NONFUNCTIONAL!
3) My maps already dated off the lot and no lifetime map upgrades ... after paying $2000+ for Navi very disappointing.
4) Also experience the Navi time to arrival way off

5) Also experience much computer slowness. Frequent 2-4 second delays when using the selector dial.
6) Also can not read incoming text messages when vehicle moving.
7) When I do use the system to respond to a text message, always get a message that the reply failed but it really was sent.
8) With the auto phone sync on, I will always get an unable to import call history message after vehicle startup, even if I do not have a phone in the vehicle. I ended up turning the auto phone sync function off.
9) Discovered by accident that if you press the start button without the brake in, then immediately press the brake and start the engine, I lose both the Navi and Radio systems. They will come on automatically after approx 3 minutes of driving time. You can also shut-off the vehicle and restart. However, I also lose both the Navi and Radio screens occasionally on a regular startup.
10) Last week I drove a 2013 Pilot with Navi. No functions were disabled with the vehicle moving. The computer response was instantaneous when using the selector dial. This really highlighted for me the issues we are experiencing with the Accord.
I currently have an open case with my dealer. One of my requests to Honda is to not disable Navi functions when the vehicle is moving ... just like the 2013 Pilot.

Samsung Galaxy SIII Working... to a point
I agree with a lot of the comments and understand that things cant be perfect BUT...
The iPhone IOS is not the primary phone system out there. Honda should have at least taken into account the Android system and integrated a little better like a few other manufacturers out there.
My Galaxy S3 paired just fine with the car and most everything works except the texting/email reading part. That was one main reason why I chose the Accord. Also, I want to have Pandora as a source on the screen like XM, CD, FM, AM, etc. It shows it in the manual but I cannot figure out how to replace "Aux In" with Pandora.
Any thoughts?
Also, the audio midrange needs a little work and the subwoofer and bass is pretty nonexistent. Is there a way to tweak the settings to make them work better? Does Honda offer an amp/equalizer to make this happen?
Thanks!

Regarding the audio quality, yes, as more and more people buy the vehicles with the "premium" audio, they are becoming more vocal about the terrible quality of sound. Hopefully Honda listens and makes some changes soon! Speak to your dealer and also send a message to Honda Customer Service!
