2013 accord speakers? which brand?
Hello all! I have just purchased a 2013 accord sport and I notice that the sound is not as nice as my 2006 accord that I also have. Do these speakers need to be broken in before I hear better sound or did they just go cheaper on the stock speakers this year?
The guy at the audio store is trying to push Memphis speakers. Are these very nice quality? I have known JL or Kicker to be of high quality. I would just like to replace the 4 stock speakers with nice speakers. Maybe also buy an amp down the road. What would be a good 4 channel amp? What is also required for the system such a crossovers and etc.
I would just like a nice well rounded sounding system. Full and loud when I want it.
Thanks all.

i recommend the following:
1. deactivate/bypass the active noise cancelling system.
2. get new component speakers up front (tweeters in dash/apillar locations)
3. get a 4 channel amp to power them (preferably active) and interface with the stock HU via LOC or OEM processor.
next steps for low end: remove rear speakers and put a sub in the trunk with dedicated amp.

I have never owned Memphis speakers but I have heard them and set up correctly sound very good. I prefer the sound of the Hertz high energy myself but all speakers sound different. I was thinking of just dropping in some HAT imagine 6.5's if they will fit. These are some of the best off axis sounding speakers I have ever heard they were powered by a Zapco amp and are priced right.
