4 12s in my trunk

Really I remember being told you want the sub to cover up to 60hz or 70hz. I'm not an audiophile and the 60hz doesn't sound bad coming from a sub, it may sound cleaner from a woofer but I like the extra loudness from a sub even if it's not as clean. I'm going to turn the Xover down a bit and see how it sounds, I don't think I've ever even tried setting that low.

63 Hz sounds good coming from a sub but when you set your crossover to 63, youre also going to be getting 70, 80 and even 100 coming thru. If you set your crossover at 63 with a 12db/oct crossover, 120 Hz is still coming thru and even tho its 12 db lower than the rest, itll still be enough to be too boomy.
Bottom line is its all a matter of personal taste. Youre the one paying for everything and youre the one thats listening to it. If you think it sounds good and 10 people tell you it doesnt - when they start pitching in for your gear you can start worrying about their opinions.
