Approx max unclipped volume of stock head unit for 2006 Accord?

i fully understand what you are doing and I have ran the Alpine CD's before (As well as other brands). i don't worry about using a scope to find a clipping point with the test CD's. that is kind of pointless.

audible distortion in the factory amplifier is more important to address than finding the point of maximum distortion (clipping). you should not care about operating the factory system at the point of maximum distortion anyway.

i use a volume that is well below clipping, and hopefully below the point of audible distortion.

FYI
Answer: Vol. level 24 @ 40Hz and level 27 @ 1 KHz - I went with 24 for my purposes... Used a DD1 to figure it out btw.

Yeah, what a simply awesome little tool. No room for error, just plug it in and you know where your max is at each step in the chain. Highly recommended for anyone who does their own setup or even just some tuning.

Hadn't heard of the cc-1 before but just watched the video on it. Steve's doing some cool stuff - that looks great. I don't think I'd need it but can definitely see the usefulness of it!

The dd-1 is a nice alternative to a scope.
