Default stock speaker covers

Hey really quick and stupid question, but how do you take the stock covers off the front door speakers and the rear 6x9 speakers so i can get to them??? i just dont want to do it wrong. I have a 2002 coupe se. Thanks

the whole door panel has to be removed to change the door speakers. its really easy to do just search. and the rear speaker covers require laying upside down in the trunk and removing 2 screws. theyre a little hard to find, but its really easy

yea i thought id have to take the door panel off, just making sure.

BTW i found these 6 1/2" speakers for my door but by the looks of them they are too big/ wont fit???

There is not enough info there to tell, what you need to look at is the depth. And don't forget audio stuff is not all cheap, and your really get what you pay for. If you want good sound you can't cut any corners.

mounting depth is 2 3/4" if that helps..... most 6 1/2s have a mounting depth of around 2ish inches i thought.... what so you guys think??

woof, dont get those speakers, get name brand and toofatt is right you get what you pay for.

I don't know about the 6th gen, but there is only 2" of clearance behind the door in the 7th gen. You can fit a speaker with a 2.5" depth in a 2" clearance a 1/2" baffle.

i listened to them at the store and they actually sounded really good... Energy is made by Klipsch which makes awesome home speakers.... but yeah they wont fit so whatever....

and does anybody know how many watts the stock head unit has in the 6th gen by any chance?? aftermarket ones are around 50 watts max per channel, so what is the stock one like??

Not more than 10 to 15 watts
