Heres a doozy
I Just purchased a holder/charger for my ipod that plugs into the 12v hookup in my 2004 accord.
it doesnt seem to charge, either with the car running or obviously not.
i read that in the manual the cig light doesnt work automatically? is there
a way to bypass this?
i might be explainging it wrong but just curious on what options i have.
and ya i checked my fuses and they are perfect

That cigg lighter is hooked up to the ACC1 line, so it only gets power with the ignition on. I would pull out the multi meter and see if your getting voltage, if you are then the charger is broken, if you aren't then there's prolly a fuse blown. Now I know you have checked your fuses, but you may want to double or triple check, sometimes you can miss it.
If you want to bypass it your going to have to get at the ignition wires, splice into the ACC1 line and run the wires to the cigg lighter. Or you could just get power directly from the battery, but the charger will never turn off and potentially drain your battery.
