...unless you're installing a 5-point harness and can't figure out how to disable the existing system.

Perhaps the reason you aren't using your seatbelt is the same reason you can't figure out how to disable it.

I'm not sure about your car, but not all cars shut up when you insert the clip. some of them, you have to extend the seatbelt a certain length before it stops chiming.

plug the seat belt in and sit on the lower portion and pull the shoulder strap over your head after you get in and sit down....beats pluggin it and unpluggin it and its already plugged in if you dont wanna wear it.

 

Yeah dude just wear your seatbelt. No one will feel sorry for you if get in a major wreck, which totally messes up your face and body, and you weren't wearing your seatbelt.

this probably wont work on a 05, cause they have gotten too technologically advanced, but on my 5th gen there is a connection you can just unplug under your seat that will disable it, but of course mine doesnt even have a chime, just a light.

and i only disabbled mine cause i have harnesses and didnt want to see the light all the time.

 

let me pose this question....... how do you you live through a fatal wreak?

 

i have a friend who got in a head-on collision in the fog and the seatbelt saved his life.

i witnessed an accident outside one of the colleges i go to. head on crash, fairly low speed. it was between a cadillac and a camry. guy in the caddy wasnt wearing his seatbelt and went through the windshield. he was severly injured. guy in the camry walked away without a scratch. which one is the bigger, safer car? the caddy.
