Not the best idea in the world.
1. If you use the heat in the car, you're going to blow hot air over the amps, which isn't good.
2. Blowing air over the amps has moisture in it, not the best thing to blow through an amp.

Never even thought about that as I don't even think I've used my heater. A/B switching amps produce too much heat if your going to be blasting music to go under the seat anyways. If you have an A/B amp under the seat you better be willing to replace it, the kenwood amp I have is under my seat and I'm just waiting for it to die. Now if your running one of these newer small digital amps then I think you can get away with it. The PDX amp I have in my boat produces almost no heat. A larger digital amp should defianlty be left out in the trunk with room to breath.
I've always been weary of mounting any amp vertically though, even these new digital amps. There is no need too, and when airflow is restricted all you have is the mass of the heatsink keeping the amp cool.

i gave the wrong opinion i editred it i told him to mount it to tyhe back of the seat so he has more room in the trunk and it has enough cold air to keep it cool

Back of the seat is even worse..... Heat rises, and really the only thing keeping these amps cool is the mass of the heatsink not air current. If you have the amp on it's side the top of the amp will run much hotter.
