Default Installing Rear Speakers

My 1997 Honda accord dx sedan does not have speaker grilles in the rear deckalthough it has speaker brackets and wiring underneath the deck. It looks like I will have to make cutouts in the rear deck. Has anyone done this? I would appreciate any tips on the best way to make cutouts and what tool is best to use.

So it does not have grilles nor cutouts for the speakers?

You prolly could use a dremel, but if you want easy, just get some speakers, put them in small speaker boxes and put them on the deck lid.

If you don't care what it looks like, having the speakers in a sealed box will really help bring out the bass. It will sound significantly better in a box. If you want to cut it out the last thing you should use a dremel, you can't get a nice clean cut with a dremel. I would use a jig saw for the best and most accurate cut.

Can you post a pic? It doesnt have any holes for the speakers to go through?

Jigsaw would be best, you'll probably have to cut from the bottom. There are tons of wires between that sheet metal and carpet so be careful.

Yea if I were you I would just make a couple boxes and mount them on top of the deck. But then again I could careless what things look like so that's just me.
