Kicker Sub

RE: Kicker Sub
No low pass means cut out above. Think of it like it only allows the lows to pass, low pass. Make sure your switch is set to anything that resembles low, or bass. Then the **** that starts at 30hz is the low pass **** for sure. If your low pass is set to 30hz and your running a ported box you may be hearing your sub bottom out...

RE: Kicker Sub
High pass is only for speakers. When you make a ported box it's tuned to a frequency, go below the frequency and the driver becomes unstable. Most ported boxes are above 34hz. If your low pass is set so low and you play a song that has ridiculously low frequencies your sub can bottom out. You can only hear down to 28hz, 34hz is LOW. If it was bottoming it out it would have busted by now, it would be a loud clack or a pop.
EDIT: BTW 1hz is one time a second, so 30hz means it is only reciprocating 30 time a second. I know its irrelevant but a lot of people don't actually know that. I'm always fascinated just by thinking about it [sm=nerd.gif]
