Default Lane Watch Camera Install

Hi,

anybody know how to connect a lane watch camera to a 2017 Accord Sport? I bought touring side view mirrors, I know to how to hook up turn signal, but what wires would I need to run to get the lane watch camera functioning? ANY HELP APPRECIATED!

The base radio does not have the necessary video inputs to utilize Lane Watch. In order to use those cameras, you'll have to undertake a fairly tedious process of swapping to the EX-L or Touring touchscreen radio. This effort will require you to also buy/install/wire the external BT module, external FM module, external amplifier, external HFL module, and external XM module (if desired).

The radio handles the video switching for rear camera, lane watch, etc and controls the video signal in the dash. This is why the radios are so complicated to replace.

I've done the touchscreen swap. It's not trival and the hardest part is sourcing the modules with the vehicle plugs present and wiring snipped for extension. I suppose one could just purchase complete vehicle harnesses from Honda but it would include everything, not just the audio related stuff.

Honestly i already paint matched the new mirrors, so im sol if i cant wire it. Ugghhh. Thank you for your reply though it helps. Im thinking maybe there is a harness i could buy, im already routing the blinkers on the mirrors to my kickpanel wires so they activate when i put turnn signals on.
