They should. Depth is usually the issue, and your depth is unlimited with the trunk.
I had success with 2 way pinoeers in the back deck and 3 way infinitys in the door, back in the day. Crutchfield had a special on some polk 6x9s for about 90 that I almost bought for my 07...still on the fence about upgrading that car.
You should easily be able to find a good speaker for 100/pair or less. Read the reviews online, listen to them in the store. Regardless of what others (we) say, you have to listen to them every day.

I checked out the Polk Audio db691 at circuit city and they sound pretty good. It's 150 at the store but crutchfield has the Polk Audio db690 for $90. Are they basicly the same speakers?
