not quite sure what to do here
Ok so I have a lot of questions here....
I have done my research here and on cruchfield. I am looking for an aftermarket deck for my 07 Accord EX with dual zone climate controls. I saw the option to mount a kit in the cubby area underneath the factory deck but I dont really like that idea. I know it will be plenty more expensive to do but here is what I want......
I want an aftermarket deck in the top DIMM and a screen in the Bottom DIMM to display the fan speed and dual temperatures for the driver and passenger (like the factory deck already does). I also have gotten used to the controls on the sterring wheel that control track and volume ect... I am also wondering how the XM works for the factory deck. Is there already a kit back there behind the factory deck?? I am listening to XM now so it must be back there and ready to be plugged into an aftermarket deck too right?? I am a little new at this whole thing but I installed a deck in my 05 Civic before and the instructions that crutchfield provided where outstanding. I would like to try and take on the undoutably challenging task by myself. I went to Circuit city and explained all of this to them and they said to find a forum on my car and ask those guys... lol.... So here I am asking the experts who have been there and done that before. Any help or suggestions would be great. I have found a deck that I would like to buy on crutchfield. I chose this deck because it has built in Bluetooth (which I wanted when I bought the car anyways) and it has the front AUX port for my Creative Zen 30GB mp3 player. I miss being able to use that!! Navigation is something the factory deck also doesnt have that I wanted, but I bought and Garmin NuVi 350 that I like very much, so that problem is solved also. Here is the link to the deck and anything you all can say would be helpful...

RE: not quite sure what to do here
Circuit City and Best Buy are good for speaker drop in installs and head unit swaps but should be avoided for custom work.
If I were you Id find a good shop in your area. If youre not sure where some are, pull up some high end names like Focal, Audison, Xtant and such and find their dealers. These shops will be able to tell you what will be needed and what will have to be done and have the supplies youd need. I have a feeling tho this would include some remolding of the dash and fiberglass work and if youve never done anything like that before, you should consider letting a shop do it.
